What happens on Sunday mornings? At 9:30 we have our Sunday School time. There are separate classes for various ages of children as well as a junior high class, a high school class, and our Adult Bible Fellowship. The children's classes all meet downstairs, the high school class meets in The Peak (our third floor), and the adults meet in the main sanctuary. Our adult class begins with coffee at 9:30 and the class actually begins around 9:45. Various people in the church teach this class covering various topics related to our growing understanding of Christianity and of God. The class usually involves some level of interaction between the teacher and participants but people are not required to speak out.
We then have a time of singing and prayer, periodically also hearing someone share something about their own life story or a children's story time or drama or special music. The message, in which we are challenged to understand and follow God's words for us as found in the Bible, usually lasts somewhere around 30 minutes. The service finishes right around noon. On the first Sunday of each month we usually include in our worship service
a celebration of communion together. Everyone is welcome at these
services, and all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ are welcome
to participate in the communion itself. |

How are visitors treated? We love to have new people join us, but we also understand that people
usually don't want to have attention drawn to them when they visit. You will be greeted at the door,
but no attention will be drawn to you. No one is introduced or expected
to say anything during the service. |
What happens for children during the worship service? We have two nurseries during the service: an infant nursery and a toddle nursery (up through 3 years old). All others are encouraged to join us for about the first half of the service. During the time of the message, we have Junior church for children 4 to 6 years old. At an appropriate time during the service, the worship leader will invite the children to Junior church. Many parents accompany their children downstairs while other children are comfortable going on their own. Various adults from the church lead a time of stories, a craft, and a snack. Following the service, parents then pick up their children from the Junior church room downstairs |
